When photography becomes art, it is at that moment it separates the hobbyist from the passionate.
How we started
Sportographs LLC was founded by graphic artist/photographer James Sholl. James has worked in the print/photography field combined for over 30 years. Sholl draws from his background in print design using Photoshop and Illustrator to keep each poster unique. In his years of coaching baseball, the first posters were created as end of the year gifts for his sons and their teammates. He then began doing tournaments, leagues, high schools and designing templates for other photographers as well.
Why Sportographs?
The whole idea about the first poster we ever did was for it to be something special, unique and different from the usual posed picture packages given out to leagues. We prefer to photograph each individual athlete in action so we can capture the natural movements, emotions and expressions during the glory of the game. The original idea is still intact keeping each and every poster unique and special while incorporating art with photography. We are a full service photography business licensed in South Carolina providing excellence in youth sports photography photo sessions.
